Thus began a search for the best blog software a program that would be easy to use require no tutorials about Hypertext Markup Language and produce a Web journal that looks attractive works flawlessly at all times and sits behind password protection to keep out unwanted visitors. Sadly that program doesn’t exist. But of the popular blog-creation services–TypePad WordPress and Google (nasdaq:… The bad news is that Vox is ad-supported meaning text and animated ad links appear next to your blog posts while you create them and while people read them. (Blogger is free and has no ads. )I’ve also operated a blog on a third system called WordPress. Both platforms are free and easy to install. My advice? Go with the open source Wordpress. Google is fickle at times so you may not want them in control of your blog. Set your marketing goal. Do you want a blog to establish a sense of community? Make quick announcements? FAQ? Lead generation? Hard sell? Your goal will determine your content and tone and keep you focused.
