Wordpress Stats Plugin
WebProNews – May 7, 2007
Matt has announced that Wordpress has. I’m a huge fan of integration of analytics and making it easier for publishers to do as much as possible in one place. Since everyone who uses Wordpress has to login to the dashboard to post it’s going to be easy to check your stats quickly as well. I can save time to not have to go login an analytics application to get some quick blog stats which means I have more time to create real value.

If you’re not familular with the FeedBurner FeedSmith plugin what it does is automatically reidrects your Wordpress’ feeds to the FeedBurner version. You don’t need to update your template or give out your FeedBurner URL just update the setting via your Wordpress admin and it’ll do the rest. Quite handy and works well. It’s a must install on my list. Congrats to Steve!.

All the linking from page to page is managed by yourself (with <a> anchors). This is ideal for a static site you need to build quickly and retain a way to edit details quickly (or hand out a login to a non-geek to edit pages later). WordpressWordpress — this isn’t a CMS it’s a Blog but it has been used for Content Management and with the right plugins and your own theme you could make a fairly good content driven website. I’m right now developing wordpress code + plugins for a client. The documentation isn’t complete but there is some. The code base isn’t so big so it’s feasible to just read the code to work out what’s going it… This is ideal for a static site you need to build quickly and retain a way to edit details quickly (or hand out a login to a non-geek to edit pages later).
