nline spoofs cloud political stances
Denver Post – Jul 5, 2007
Republican presidential candidate Sam Brownback is a self-described social conservative. The Kansas senator does not believe in evolution supports prayer in schools and opposes abortion rights even in the case of rape. And if you peruse some of the blogs supposedly authored by his supporters such as baptistsforbrownback (baptistsforbrown2008. com) you’ll see that he believes in lots of other things too. Truemors is sort of a combination gossip site and ranking system. The site managed to get huge traffic at the get go and has settled into a decent 40000 page views per day. Whether Truemors is successful or not is beside the point… I can register a domain and even use my existing hosting service. Heck I could probably even host it myself. I could install Wordpress all that stuff. Even throw together a logo in GIMP or something. But I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t have any visitors or hits or marketing potential or content. You can say “I’m not going to bother installing Wordpress if just going to Wordpress. com is good enough. ” We’re still growing right now about five to ten products are added a day and new reviews each day. Every month we’re about doubling. That’s good but the software is such a huge space and we aim to get to hundreds of 100000s but if it keeps doubling the math should work.
