It’s a plugin (free for individuals paid for business) for Wordpress a popular open-source blogging platform. I doubt the BBC’s blogs are running on Wordpress but still I’d be surprised if an Akismet-like option wasn’t available to manage their comment spam problem. The idea for the site emerged after the removal of a blog which belonged to an acquaintance of Pirate Bay members from the wordpress. com service due to its links to copyrighted material. The BayWords service is powered by the popular open-source blogging software Wordpress and will carry advertising in order to cover hosting costs explains the group. The site will join the group’s existing uncensored image sharing site.
