For the past six years I’ve been hand coding the HTML but now the entire site is in WordPress. If you’re longing for the old look here is your last chance.
I take back my positive words about Safari 4

It doesn’t work well at all it seems to make a habit out of crashing when you’re almost done writing a lengthy post and it has trouble loading a variety of webpages. Very often it doesn’t even show the buttons on my wordpress writing dashboard; seemingly. In other words: don’t get Safari 4… unless you’re someone like me who enjoys testing browsers and who has a variety of other browsers that do work well. In that case download it but be prepared for a lot of crashes. What’s so strange about it all is that Safari 3 never crashed never gave errors and loaded webpages very fast indeed. I realize that most Beta versions of other browsers have problems as well but Safari 4 Beta has so many problems that I can’t help but say that Apple made a tragic mistake by releasing it.

Starting early in spring semester of ’08 our website was completely revamped. Early in fall semester of ’08 we launched our blogs. At the beginning of this semester (spring ’09) we moved our blogs from our main website to a new Wordpress-powered server. Shortly we will be finishing our move away from our current hosting company College Media Network ™ to a new website hosted on an redigger-controlled server. These recent changes were necessitated by our current hosting provider College Media Network ™. The backend software that currently runs our website is called CollegePublisher 4. 0 which for those of you who are versed in web programming was written in ColdFusion.

WordCamp Denver is one of numerous gatherings of the WordPress tribe which occur worldwide. There’s WordCamp San Francisco WordCamp Paris WordCamp Delhi WordCamp Indonesia; you get the picture. WordPress is the open source (free) software platform created by Matt Mullenweg and developed and maintained by an international army of tech savvy professionals and volunteers (in which I cannot be numbered). I was there out of curiosity and gratitude. WordPress hosts my personal blog which I now realize more than ever before and through no fault of WordPress must be counted as the most pathetic specimen of "information architecture" in the entire digital universe.
