Do you need a premium Wordpress theme?
Examiner.com
Before looking at what types of blogs should and shouldn’t use a premium theme let’s first look at what a premium theme offers to bloggers. I believe that a premium theme offers the following features:A slick way to integrate images into the overall presentation of your siteA way to attract users to "Featured" articlesA more visual way to organize your topics or categories; often through the use of colors or various layout schemes. What type of blogs should use a premium Wordpress theme? If your visitors come to your blog because they are looking for interesting thoughts or opinions on a specific subject such as finance investing politics a specific industry etc. then I do not recommend a premium Wordpress theme. Your content is what matters the most in these situations; thus I recommend going the way of a simple free theme. If your blog is more of a news type site or a magazine format (most blogs should not be magazine formats despite what many people believe) then a premium theme may be the way to go. If you need to feature images because you are a photographer or because your images are a prime attraction to visitors then you should also consider a premium theme.
